Andrew Kennedy

Customer Director Asda/Wal*Mart Account, Unilever UK

Andrew has worked in Unilever for 12 years having worked in a variety of Customer Development roles both within South Africa and internationally. He is currently Customer Director for the Unilever UK business with Asda Wal*Mart where he's spent three challenging but exciting years in this very competitive, highly developed market. Previous roles include Customer Marketing Director for the Homecare business in South Africa, a secondment into the Unilever UK Tesco Business Unit and working in Unilever Global HQ on the roll-out of the last corporate strategy. Highlights of his career include being awarded Supplier of the Year in Shoprite Checkers (Beverages / Household) in 2000 and leading the team that Asda Wal*Mart has awarded International Supplier of the Year for the last two years in a row.

Andrew is a 'banana boy' at heart having grown-up in KZN, attending PMB University and with Unilever based in Durban. It's therefore hardly surprising that he misses the warmth of South Africa, both the climate and outdoor lifestyle but also its people. He's married with three young kids (how to make London even more challenging!) and tries to take time-out through mountain-biking, fly-fishing, time out in the outdoors and the occasional trip into London's theatres etc.
